Remember yesterday when we reported that Dave Grohl said onstage that he wasn’t sure when the Foo Fighters‘ next gig would take place? Well after a day of speculation to whether or not the band was calling it quits, Grohl has written an open letter clarifying that the Foos aren’t breaking up. Phew.

We hate to be the ones to break this news to you, but Saturday’s Foo Fighters show at new York City’s Central park may have been their final gig, according to a statement the band’s frontman Dave Grohl made onstage.

Dave Grohl has been hard at work on a documentary on the famed Sound City Studios in California and after offering up a vague preview last month, the musician has offered a series of teasers that should get you pretty excited for the film. In the clips, Pixies’ Frank Black, Metallica’s Lars Ulrich, Rick Rubin and Trent Reznor all discuss their history with the now-closed studio.
